Every music that you hear means something to you one way or another. Every song has a meaning, every song tells a story. I started this so I could share with you a bit of myself.

Blunder - Mute:disturbance

This is sung by a Portuguese band called Blunder. I wouldn't know how to describe their sound, but they definitely have a rock vibe going on.:)
The music video for this song is amazing, it's an animated story of a quiet "mute" boy living his days inside his shyness day by day. until he gets sick of it. (You can check out the video at their official site)

For more information on this band, and if you liked this song:

-> official site - it's in English and it's easy to navigate;

popular or singular
I don´t care anymore
Innocence, violence
does it come from above

animal, vegetable
are you keeping the score
it´s not fair, if you dare
to turn into a whore

you know it´s not you
you know it´s not me
who´s gonna save the world
but I need to be heard

virtual are you visual
in the thrill of the chase
presente tense, evidence
I am resting my case

you know it´s not you
you know it´s not me
who´s gonna save the world
but I need to be heard

Johny Nash - I Can See Clearly Now

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,

I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day.
It's gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day.

I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I’ve been praying for
It’s gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day.

Look all around, there’s nothing but blue sky
Look straight ahead, nothing but blue sky

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day.
It's gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day.
It's gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day...

The Bluetones - After Hours

How in the world will I make it to work in the morning?

I've been drinking since we clocked out and now it's 4am.
But they're such a generous couple, Alfredo and Pauline.
When they offer a late night session you don't want to offend.

The shutters come down and thats what they're for.
We dont want to invite in the law.

It's not often the case that we're forced to sacrifice the jukebox.
But the plug always has to be pulled on the quiz machine.
So you imbibe all you can,
'cause you're partaking in something forbidden,
and time after time you'll wake up face down in the latrine.

We speak in hushed tones, dim down the lights.
We're staying after hours tonight!

instumental break

Where am I now?
Where am I now?
Where am I now?
I dont remember a thing,
I dont remember, remember a thing.

Lord only knows what kind of poison I'm drinking, I can't read the label.
So I'll just dance off my cares like Fred Astaire up here on the table.

The shutters come down and thats what they're for.
We dont want to invite in the law.
Speak in hushed tones, and dim down the lights.
We're staying after hours tonight-----

Given to Fly - Pearl Jam

He could have tuned in, tuned in, but he tuned out

a bad time, nothing could save him
Alone in a corridor, waiting, locked out
he got up outta there, ran for hundreds of miles
He made it to the ocean, had a smoke in a tree,
The wind rose up, set him down on his knee

Waves came crashing like a fist to the jaw,
Delivered him wings, "Hey, look at me now..."
Arms wide open with the sea as his floor
Oh, oh oh...

He's flying! Woah!
Whole! Woah! Oh...

He floated back down 'cause he wanted to share
his key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere
But first he was stripped, and then he was stabbed
by faceless men, well...fuckers, he still stands.
And he still gives his love, he just gives it away
the love he recieves is the love that is saved
And sometimes is seen a strange spot in the sky
a human being that was given to fly

Flying! Woah...
Whole! Flying! Woah...
Flying Woah...
Oh Woah...

PS: Why bold letters? Because it is, in my humblest of opinions, one of the best things Eddie
Vedder has written.

I don't know if this is supposed to be Christian, I just know that this gives me strenght when
I need it. And lot's of it. :)

Treat

Too many things happened from the last time I posted until now... I'm sorry for my absence.

To calm down your angry spirits, two songs in one day! *crowd roars*

Nitin Sawhney - Falling Angels

It's a time for grown-up boys
To make a mess of pretty things
To lose yourself and find
A peace in your good-bye
I lost my faith in you
To distant dreams of true
Nothing here redeems me
No angels to release me

Unchain my falling angels
Unchain my falling angels
To chain me

The shadows burry me
In rusty memories
Hopes for inside
My angels call goodbyes
You lost that photo-album smile
To memories fadded, fadded, fading...
Shall we fade child?

Unchain my falling angels
Unchain my falling angels
To chain me

Unchain my falling angels
Unchain my falling angels
To chain me

PS:For those living in Portugal: if you can't remember the song, try to remember the background music for the "Band of Brothers" (translated as "Irmãos de Armas") series advertisement in sic radical channel;).
I absolutely adore this song...

Frank Sinatra - One For My Baby

It's quarter ta' 3, theres no one in the place
-cept' you and me.
So set em' up Joe, I got a little story
you ought to know.
We're drinkin' my friend, to the end, of a
brief episode.

Make it One For My Baby, and One More For the Road.

I got the routine, put another nickel,
in the machine.
Feelin' so bad, can't ya' make the music,
easy and sad.
I could tell you alot, but you've gotta' be,
true to your code...

Make it One For My Baby, and One More For the Road.

You'd never know it, but buddy i'm a kind of poet, and i've
got a lot of things, i'd like to say.
And when i'm gloomy, won't you listen to me,
till' its talked away?

Well, thats how it goes, and Joe I know you're gettin'
anxious to close.
And thanks for the cheer, I hope you didn't mind,
my bend in your ear.
But this torch that i've found, its gotta be drowned,
or it soon might explode.

So Make it One for My Baby, and one more for the Road.

The long, that long, it's long...

Toploader - Achillles Heel

Goodbye to the sky

I know I can't fly but I feel love do you know
How I feel?
You are my achilles heel
Hello to below
I feel love flow like a river flow you and I
Standing still
You are my achilles heel

Feeling free yeah what about me?
Well you gotta give it up coz I feel love do you know
How I feel ?
You are my achilles heel
Goodbye to the sky
I know I can't fly but I feel love do you know
How I feel ?
You are my achilles heel

For there's a child in your eyes and the child never dies
To keep the dream alive
With the aid of second sight
I can push with all my might
To make a statue in the sky
Of my achilles heel

Small fry don't know why
Gotta get high just to love life
You are my highs and lows from my head to my toes
I said hey la
Will I go far?
Will I go far - cos I love life
Do you know how I feel?
You are my achilles heel
I said Oh no no
Will I go slow?
Now will I go slow?
When the feeling flows

For there's a child in your eyes and the child never dies
To keep the dream alive
With the aid of second sight
I can push with all my might
To make a statue in the sky
Of my achilles heel

Well you're feeling free
So what about me?
I said hello and goodbye
But I don't know why
Well while we're small fry
On the line
With my achilles heel
Achilles heel

Five Iron Frenzy - My Evil Plan to Save the World

I have an evil plan to save the world for every man,

And I think it's better than the way it's being run.
Oh the groundwork's laid,
No Don't be afraid,
I'm sure that I can fix it,
When I figure out the physics.

My evil plan to save the world,
Just you wait 'till it's unfurled,
It'll go down in history.
It's prophetic,
No, it's not pathetic.
I can't believe I made it up myself.

I have an evil plan,
To save the world you understand,
The exemplary feat, you'd think I'd have to cheat.
I'd make Voltaire proud,
Deep and furrow browed.
Uncanny and so clever, it's "Our Newest Plan Ever!"

Got tired of whining,
A grander scheme with silver lining,
For every boy and girl.
We can't be responsible,
For all that's wrong with this world.

Starving children in pain,
You can't believe in that God.
The world's not spinning your way,
Does every dog still have his day?
